The CARE Library assures our participants of our commitment to respect and safeguard your personal information with us. We are committed to comply with the Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) in Singapore.
Your data is collected with your consent and is for the purpose of the assessments we require in considering the activities and/or program that may be most appropriate for yourself or the person(s) under your care.
Other than in situations of emergencies where we may be required to inform attending medical assistants of the condition of our participants, we shall at no time share such information with any third parties without your prior consent.
Disclaimers and Waivers of Liabilities
The CARE Library reminds all visitors, participants and their representatives that it shall not be responsible nor will it be held liable for any loss or damage to any personal property or belongings. They are reminded to pay particular attention for the safe keeping of their personal property and belongings.
We provide a safe place for its participants and shall lead all activities in a safe manner and all visitors, participants and their representatives acknowledge that upon entering the premises, they are personally fully responsible for their own care and safety at the premises at all times, including during their participation in the program sessions. All visitors, participants and their representatives further acknowledge that The CARE Library shall not be held liable for any bodily injury whatsoever that they may suffer during their attendance at the Library.
Participants and their representatives are reminded that they remain totally and fully responsible for their personal medical needs and care, and at all times remain totally and fully responsible to consider the areas of medical attention and care they may require for their respective medical conditions. Their attendance at The CARE Library does not in any way alter this duty of care participants and their representatives have towards themselves.
Visitors, participants and their representatives acknowledge and agree to the above and declare that on entering the premises they shall deem to agree to release and forever discharge and hold harmless The CARE Library and its successors and assigns, personally and corporately from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or equity, which arise or hereinafter arise from his/her participation and attendance at such activities with The CARE Library, and shall indemnify The CARE Library against all actions, claims, demands, costs and expenses that may be incurred as a result of a liability for which he/she is personally liable for.
VISITATION by Third Parties
The CARE Library adopts a strict ‘No Visitor’policy. We appreciate the interest of individuals, friends, contacts and/or caregivers of prospective participants in our set up. As our sessions are conducted with the fullest attention for our participants and as their privacy is of prime importance to us, visits will not be allowed when a session is underway.
